We develop new refractive surgical instruments and procedures whose results are continuously monitored and documented in studies. The scientific involvement in each operation at the Eye Laser Centre ensures a steady improvement in the treatment results. The awarding of doctoral and professoral theses in the field of refractive surgery creates a permanent connection to university research. We offer students the opportunity to become acquainted with the work we do at the Halle Eye Laser Centre and to attend lectures as guests. As refractive surgery is a very important area of ophthalmic surgery, we also offer advanced courses and certifications for ophthalmologists and introduce them to the methods practised here.
